It is quite the honor for us authors to be nominated for these awards because it's YOU the readers who nominated us.  With that being said, I can't tell you how much that means to me to be included with all the other wonderful authors who strive each day to entertain you.

This year, I have the pleasure of having three nominations, but just to show I support EVERYONE who got nominated, I've reposted the list that Dawn was so nice to provide us with...and ask you to do this...please take a second, hop over to LRC's yahoo group and vote for your favorites... and if I happen to be one of them - thank you!

But before you go, here are the instructions that Dawn gave us. Be sure to follow it too the letter, or your votes won't count!

Review: Rain by Taryn Kincaid

So when I'm not writing I try to squeeze in a bit of reading - and this week I dived back into a Beyond Fairytales story, by the delightful Taryn Kincaid.  As an author I've written for this line, so I know the challenges it represents - however as a reader, I find most of these tales whisk you away as they redo the classics.

Title: Rain
Author: Taryn Kincaid
Length: 69 pages
Buy Links:  Amazon

BLURB:

Sleeping Beauty in a post-apocalyptic land…

In a world gone mad, where little remains but a vast wasteland of sand, the leader of a troop of roving warriors welcomes a brave young woman into his midst.

Much as he burns for her, Major Clay Worthington swears to keep his distance from the mysterious woman, so sensitive even the stinging rain can wound her.

Rosina Brierly is besotted with the formidable soldier and will gladly trade her life for one torrid night of blissful passion in his arms.

But when sleep overcomes them, will true love prevail?

Review

So what to say about Taryn's foray into the Beyond Fairytales line? Overall, I truly enjoyed it. I loved the spin she gave Nicodemus (he has a very strong presence in Rain).   I also got a giggle or two out of the Arthur references and the twist Ms. Kincaid put on the names for her characters. She kept them very close to the original tale. (For those of you who don't know Briar Rose  was actually Sleeping Beauty's name, in the original fairytale.)

I felt very drawn to her hero.  Clay was a self-aware man. He knows his flaws as well as his own control. I have to say he put up the good fight before giving in.  I love a hero with a conscious. Of course it didn't hurt that the chemistry between Rosina and him was off the charts.  Frankly, I'm surprised they resisted as long as they did.

Ms. Kincaid did a fairly good job, drawing me into her post apocalyptic world - however I will give this warning, as reader, you have to really pay attention to the storyline or you might find yourself scratching your head.  But if you enjoy a bit of intrigue, with a storyteller who isn't all he seems and love conquers all, this Beyond Fairytale is for you.  Which is why I give Rain 4 Naughty Handcuffs.

Takeover Wednesday {1} - T.L. Reeve

So today is the first installment of a new little feature on A Little Bit of Naughty - Takeover Wednesday, and it's just like it sounds. Each Wednesday, one of my author friends are going to hijack my blog for the day. They are gonna bring you not only their new releases but the stories behind the story....or so I've been told.

Anyhow, this week, the mischievous TL Reeve is front and center with her newest release from Decadent Publishing, Omega's Heart.  So take it away TL!

Shifters. What images do you conjure up when you think of sexy men who can shift with ease? For me it was Kole, Jasper and Max. Three strong, loving men who'd do anything to make each other happy, even if they earn a few bumps and bruises along the way. Their love story isn't always happy, but they find a way. Today I'd like to share with you a NSFW scene between Kole, Jasper and Max. Their chemistry is explosive. Their love is intense. So, sit back and enjoy. I'm sure Dakota has fans and ice somewhere around here in case you need it...right Dakota?

Sexy NSFW snippet:
He crossed the room, his gaze never leaving Max while Jasper sat in his usual spot, watching both of them. When Kole stopped in front of his mate, Max fisted his shirt and pulled him even closer while bending his head. Their lips met, and a growl filled Max’s chest. He devoured Kole, taking everything he had and then some.

Kole wrapped his arms around Max’s neck, falling into the man. His head spun with the lust pounding through his veins. Thank fuck. He clawed at his lover’s shirt, trying to pull it off him; he couldn’t wait any longer. Beside them a soft moan fell from Jasper’s lips. Kole glanced over and watched as he grabbed his junk and squeezed, then rubbed himself through the material of his pants. The sight had him growing harder by the second. “Fuck,” he panted.
“Don’t stop. I was enjoying the show,” Jasper muttered.
“Go kiss him, Kole. I want in on this watching racket, too.” Max pushed him in Jasper’s direction who, at some point, had sat in his chair.
Legs spread wide and a wicked glint in his eyes, his mate crooked his finger at him then pointed to the floor in front of him. Jasper squeezed the bulge in his jeans and cursed. Kole went to his knees and licked his lips, causing his mate to moan.
“Fuck, you look amazing right there.” He cupped the nape of Kole’s neck and pulled him in, capturing his lips.
Kole groaned at the way Jasper controlled him, tasted him. He sipped and nibbled, driving Kole insane, and when he thought he couldn’t take any more, Jasper deepened it. Their tongues tangled together while his hands went for his mate’s pants.
“Son of a bitch, Kole, suck me.”
“Shit, this is going to be over before it begins,” Max cursed. “I’m not going to last if I have to watch him suck your dick.”
“Who said all you’ll be doing is watching?” Jasper tipped Kole’s chin. “Want him to fuck you as you blow me?”
He whimpered yes as he stroked Jasper’s rod. “Please. We can take our time later. We have all night…forever.”
“Damn straight we do,” Max agreed, kneeling behind Kole. “This is the beginning for us.”
Jasper pushed on Kole’s head and smirked. “Suck me, mate. Finish this for all of us.”
Kole didn’t hesitate; he ran his tongue over the crest of Jasper’s erection, lapping at the fluid gathered there. The salty essence coated his tongue, driving him wild before he swallowed it. He took his time, licking and nibbling on him, knowing full well he tortured the man above him. Jasper hissed his name, and his fingernails scored Kole’s scalp. A shudder of pleasure coursed through him as he continued taking his time.
Behind him, he felt Max’s hands on his sides. He pushed his shirt off him. His mate followed suit, pulling his own shirt off, exposing his broad chest to Kole’s perusal. He lifted his hand and ran his fingers through the short coarse hairs on Jasper’s chest, then scraped his thumbnail over his mate’s nipple. Jasper groaned and lifted his hips to Kole, to which he covered his mate’s tip with is mouth.
Jasper yelped and fisted his hand in Kole’s hair, pushing him over his cock. “Fuck, don’t play.”
“I say you tease him, little wolf,” Max said, working Kole’s pants open. “I want him out of his mind by the time I get inside you.” He placed kisses along Kole’s spine and nipped his ass.
“You still have a spectacular ass, Kole,” Max crooned, running his fingers through his seam, then along his sac. His dick throbbed in anticipation.
Kole tried to concentrate on Jasper, but having Max’s hands on him made it harder to do by the second. He arched into Max’s touch, a silent demand he continue playing with him—touch him as his head bobbed. He licked and sucked on Jasper’s dick. Flicked his tongue across the sensitive underside then took him all the way to the soft pallet of his throat. Jasper groaned his name and held him there. He fucked his mouth in short thrusts at the same moment Max began to stroke Kole’s cock. He whined and shuddered, trying to rock into Max’s hand, but with the way Jasper held him, he couldn’t move. He had to take what both men gave him.

BLURB:
When the wolf is away…

Five years ago, Max Reaper walked out of Kole Silver’s life forever, leaving behind a broken omega.

Kole doesn’t believe in love anymore. He keeps to himself, leading a solitary life until stumbling upon an injured human, Jasper Hill. An instant attraction explodes between them, becoming an unbreakable bond. There is no choice—Kole must claim the man as his own.

When Max returns to take possession of what is rightfully his, a situation he’d never imagined greets him. Angry with himself and with his mate’s betrayal, he wrestles his wolf who demands he take action—to claim his mate. But will he be able to accept Kole’s new human companion, or will his mistake of leaving five years ago end up biting him in the ass?

Adult Excerpt from: Another Night, Another Planet

“Okay, what do you do? How’d you end up on Elatia?”

“A little of this and that. Transporting small packages between planets, mostly.” Cargo no one else wanted to carry. He grasped her hips, sliding her toward him, her robe slipping up her thighs. She grasped his shoulders and stared at him, eyes wide. But no objection came from her lips, so he continued. “As for why I’m here, well, I came to meet you. Right now, I don’t want to be anywhere else.”

Her cheeks flushed, and he could think of nothing but having his way with her. He leaned forward, tasting her sweet lips. She didn’t pull away, but wrapped her arms around him. Lining his tongue along the edge of her mouth, he deepened the kiss. He absorbed her essence into every cell. He couldn’t get enough. Reaching between their bodies, he undid the tie around his waist. Then hers. Delirious, he pulled the robes from between them until skin pressed against skin. Exactly as they were meant to be. Nibbling his way down her neck, he took pleasure in her soft whimpers. She leaned back, opening herself to him. For a moment, he could do nothing but stare at her luscious body, unable to believe she was there with him again.

He ran his tongue across her stomach, from her navel, all the way up to one of her rosy peaks, the taste of tropical fruits and her femininity overwhelming his senses. He sucked a nipple into his mouth, drawing his teeth over her tender skin. She cried out, but held him there rather than pushing him away. As he switched to savor her other breast, she began to rock over him. His semi-hard-on turned into a rock, seeking out a warm pussy. The head of his penis slid easily along her wet lips, but he refused to take the plunge. Way too soon.

Rising to his feet, he laid Ava across the lounger. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.”

He rushed over to the gourmet spread of food before his lust took over and he ruined the evening. Collecting a selection of pastries filled with creams and small chunks of juicy fruit, he took a deep breath, trying to stifle his aching cock. Anxious to satisfy another hunger, he carried the plate over to Ava.

He kneeled in front of her. A smile radiated across her face. “Thank you. I didn’t expect the eletin to affect me so much. It’s like the alcohol on Earth. I want you, don’t get me wrong, but….”

Setting a chunk of fruit between his teeth, he captured her lips again. Their tongues darted around the juicy flesh until he swallowed it down. He licked a trail of sweet nectar down her neck. Gods, he’d missed her.

Pinching one of the flaky pastries, he wiped its cream onto her pert, rosy nipples. Hunger and lust pulsed through him, but under it all, something more. More than want. He needed her. Always had. He refused to walk away from her again. Tonight was about more than pleasure, a one-night stand. Somehow, he had to convince her to never return to Earth, to stay with him. An impossible task. But he had to try.
Review for Another Night, Another Planet:

“…a fantastic representation of the [1Night Stand] series. Hot sex along with some interesting twists kept my interest from the first page.”

#MySexySaturday: {79} Giving it her all...

So this week our wonderful Lynn has tasked us with coming up with a few sexy moments for Valentine's Day.  While my newest release was issued in time to correspond with the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie (no booing here - I haven't read the books nor do I plan on the seeing the movie.) it has a decidedly dark theme to it, about love lost, then reclaimed. After all what would you do - to get back the man you love?   So sit back and enjoy seven paragraphs from Kotori's Sacrifice, one the newest additions to the 1NS line.

Snippet:

Forgetting all about his waiting playmate, Seba stalked across the room, ready to give Akira a piece of his mind. How dare she interrupt his date? But before he’d covered the distance between them, she turned to face him. He froze in shock. Perching on her slightly upturned nose were Mey-rin’s opaque glasses. Suddenly, the reasoning behind the note made sense, even if he had no intention of accepting the matchmaker’s advice.
Then Mey-rin…or, rather, Akira spotted him. Her lips slowly parted then drew up into a gorgeous smile. The skin at the corner of her eyes crinkled as she took a step toward him. Her happiness at seeing him seemed to spread until it engulfed her petite frame. He swallowed hard, torn between leaving and demanding a full refund from the elusive Madame Eve, and staying and taking what Akira offered—until he fucked her out of his system. But before he could decide on which course of action to take, his former submissive came to a stop in front of him and sank to her knees, head bowed.
“I offer my body to you willingly, Sir. To whip or fuck. I am at your service. I only wish to please you.”
A low growl built in him. She’d pressed every one of his erotic buttons with her words. An offer she had made many times in the past, but always failed to follow through on.
“Look at me, kotori.” The endearment rolled off his tongue.
At his feet, she stiffened. But it no longer mattered. She’d seen his face, knew his identity, what he was capable of, and had still offered herself. When she lifted her head, he took the glasses off, confirming his suspicion. Her beautiful golden brown eyes stared up at him, the longing in their depths familiar.
“There will be no way out this time. At least, not tonight. You will submit because I will accept nothing less than a total sacrifice on your part. Do you understand?”

A Dominant who just couldn’t let go…

As an experienced Dom, Seba Havas, specializes in helping traumatized submissives find the release they need. He knows when a firm hand is needed or a gentle touch will work better, but nothing in his nearly fifteen years in the scene prepares him for Akira. Like a whirlwind, she turns his orderly life upside down with her refusal to submit. Still reeling from his failure with her six months later, he turns to 1Night Stand. Madame Eve’s suggestion? A trip to the Carnivore Club, the brand new BDSM themed Las Vegas Strip resort on a date to an elegant masquerade ball with a beautiful submissive.

A submissive who’s willing to sacrifice it all…

As the oldest daughter of the Ito clan, Akira has been responsible and self-controlled her entire life, up to the point it has caused her to lose the dominant she loves. Now she has one chance left to prove to Seba she can be what he needs. In true Vegas fashion, and with a little help from Madame Eve, she’s going to gamble it all on one night of dominance and submission. But will it be enough?

#MySexySaturday {60}: At the masquerade ball...

So this week we're supposed to be focusing on love, no matter the location. Well, in my newest accepted 1NS book, Kotori's Sacrifice, my feisty heroine is willing to do about anything - including attend a masquerade ball at the Carnivore Club, if it will mean that she has a chance to win back her former master's love.

Enjoy my sexy seven paragraphs and be sure to check in with the rest of the peeps.

Inspiration for the Sanctum Ballroom
Snippet:

“We all have baggage, Sir. Why don’t we enjoy the masquerade, and see where we are afterward. After fifty to sixty hour weeks, I could use a bit of fun.”

“You got a deal.” Seba smiled at her, liking the light-hearted side she was showing him. “As long as you promise to dance with me. It’s been too long since I’ve felt a woman in my arms.”

Mey-rin cocked her head. “I suppose so. As long as you don’t mind risking your person. In that costume, I can’t promise my hands won’t wander. All those buttons make me want to open them with my teeth...”

He groaned, as the image of her undoing his clothing with only her mouth, popped into his brain. He narrowed his eyes, but reined in the lust that simmered just under the surface. “Naughty girls get spanked. Hard.”

Her breath caught in her throat, but he could hear the need in her voice when she spoke. “Then I guess I’ll have to be naughty.”

Tempted to pull her over his lap, the only thing that saved her was the fact the car came to a stop. He yanked the zipper shut on his play bag. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind, he’d have her bound to a St. Andrews Cross wearing nothing more than that crisp white apron and begging for release before the night was over—at least if he had anything to say about it.

As the door opened and she moved to exit, he took a deep breath. Now was not the time to act like an over-eager teenaged boy. Grabbing his toy bag, he slid out of the limo and stood. And stopped to take in the resort. Gone were the bright lights of the Strip. Instead, in its place was a massive resort complete with pueblo-style buildings that were backlit by soft ground lights. In the moonlight with the desert in the distance, it had an ethereal feel to it.

#MySexySaturday {55}: An unexpected ride...

So for this week, we're supposed to focus on coach rides, or in my case limo rides. I'm currently in the midst of the writing a submission for Decadent's new sub call for their 1NS line. I'm having such fun with this idea. (You can find the sub call HERE - if you're interested.) Anyway, I couldn't resist this call and Seb (who's full name happens to be Seba) from Wyk's Surrender, is finally getting his own story. I sooo love revisiting characters. So enjoy this little snippet...and I'll remind you that's it's unedited - so be kind...

Set-up: Dressed up as thier favorite characters from the manga comic, Phantomhive, Seba aka Sebastian and his 1NS date, Akira aka Mey-rin are on their way to a masquerade ball being held at Club Carnivore, the newest and hottest BDSM resort in Vegas.  Enjoy!

Snippet:

A light bulb seemed to go on in Jackson’s head because he nodded. “Japanese girls aren’t your thing?”

A pang in his chest at the question didn’t surprise him. One Japanese girl had definitely been his thing. But now wasn’t the time to think of Akira. Not when he had a date waiting for him in the car. So he forced a light-hearted tone into his voice. “Not unless it’s Mey-rin. Something about her red hair, and how innocently she blushes but still manages to be lethal, that just does it for me.”

Jackson led him over to a waiting limo. Pulling open the door, he gestured for Seba to get in. But just before Seba slid into the warm car, Jackson grinned and whispered low enough only he could hear. “Perhaps a thank you letter to Madame Eve wouldn’t be out of place. Enjoy yourselves. Your driver will wait to bring you back to the hotel.”

“Of course. Thank you.” He barely got the words out before the door shut. Then the car began to move as it pulled away from the curb. In the darkened interior, he could barely make out the figure sitting across from him.

A barely there sigh registered, mere moments before a soft snick as she flipped on the side light. A soft glow flooded the interior of the car. After his eyes adjusted to the sudden flare, his jaw about dropped to the floor, as the limo picked up speed.

In the seat directly across from him, wearing a dark form fitting black maid’s uniform and a startling snowy apron that accented her lovely tits, his bespectacled companion gave him a tentative smile, then stuck out her hand.

“Hello, I’m Mey-rin. I’m your date for the evening.”

And don't forget to stop by all the other wonderful peeps on the blog hop.

Retro Mondays {4}: Wyk's Surrender

This week I'm featuring my second 1NS book, Wyk's Surrender. This book came out last year and holds a near and dear place in my heart, as I got to revisit some of the characters for my first 1NS book, Blind Need.  While the first book was a contemporary erotic romance, Wyk's Surrender is a full on Domme in disguise tale. Hopefully you'll enjoy the snippet. :)

She wants to mark him and make him hers…

Mistress “V” lusts after her boss. She wants him at her mercy, begging for her touch, but he only knows her as his very capable assistant Venus. When an off-hand comment dashes her hopes, the sexy domme turns to Madame Eve at 1Night Stand for help…

He isn’t sure he can handle the dark pleasure she promises…

Living up to his father’s expectations has driven Wyk Havas to the edge. His curvaceous assistant Venus wants to push him past those limits, and he’s damn near attracted enough to try. But Venus’s preference for men to submit to her threw him for a loop. Can a date from 1Night Stand show him if he’s able to submit to a woman?

Can Wyk truly surrender to Mistress V’s pleasure or were they doomed from the start?

Excerpt:

Wyk wiped his damp palm over his slightly bristled scalp. Directions from his date passed through his brain even as he listened to the voice on the other end of the cellphone. He had to shave again, and his toiletry bag lay buried somewhere in his suitcase. The spectacular lights of the Vegas strip shone through his parted curtains. Not that he could give it the attention it merited. He was too busy trying to distract his dad. The last thing he would tell his strict Catholic father was he didn’t have time to talk because he had to get ready for a date. His dad would want to know particulars about the woman he couldn’t even begin to tell the old man.

“I know, Dad.” He tossed his unearthed toiletry bag on the bathroom counter. “Can’t you get Seb to go with you? He loves cat fishing.” Toeing his loafers off, he turned on the shower. A courier had dropped a packet with requested preparations. His date had laid out exacting conditions. She would participate as long he followed a few simple rules. He must be clean-shaven, including his head. The woman must have a thing for bald black men. Which is a good thing. The first time he’d done it, his college girlfriend had scratched at his scalp when he went down on her. The small bite of erotic pain had tripped his trigger.

His dad continued to gripe, finally asking Wyk if he was listening. He dragged his attention away from anything to do with sex to focus on placating his father.

“I know I promised to come down this weekend. I’m sorry I forgot to call, but I got busy at work and it slipped my mind. I didn’t expect Nate to call me out of the blue a couple of weeks ago and ask me to stand up with him during his wedding. Even if I caught a flight back to Chicago tonight, I wouldn’t be much use to you. Jet lag can be a real bitch. So I called to let you know I wouldn’t be able to come tomorrow, before I head back down to the reception.” Satisfied with the water temperature, he shut the shower door. “I’m not about to leave my buddy hanging.” His dad understood loyalty. After a couple more minutes of good-natured grumbling, his dad agreed to call Seb before hanging up with an order to kiss the bride. Pressing the end button, he tossed his cell on the counter.

Flicking the small buttons on his dress shirt open, he rolled his head in an effort to ease some of the tension in his neck and shoulders, which had built up since the wedding. The event had gone off without a hitch. With Venus in control of the arrangements, no one had dared to mess up her cousin’s special day. But it’d done a number on his libido to see her lush figure draped in champagne pink chiffon and her dark red hair in an elaborate up-do. Not to mention the shimmery hose that peeked out from the fluttering hem of her dress. He hadn’t been able to stop thinking about how her long legs would feel draped over his shoulders as she ordered him to eat her pussy. The cool disdain in her eyes had done little to temper his ardor either. Just the sight of it had him wanting to drop to his knees and tell her to do what she willed with him.

He jerked the clasp on his tux pants open and eased the zipper down, being careful to not catch himself in the teeth. Letting the pants pool at his feet, he wrapped his hand around his dick to comfort it. He had no idea if sex would be on the agenda tonight, but a man could hope. It’d been too long since he’d been laid. He needed this, even if the match Madame Eve had set him up with was nothing more than a stand-in. He’d shave his entire body if that’s what it took.

He turned to the sink, as the bathroom filled with steam. The water needed to be hot or he’d stiffen up. Four years of playing college ball had left its mark on him. After the long flight out, the steamy shower would be a welcome relief. While he shaved his jaw, he thought about the questions Madame Eve had said the woman would ask before they proceeded. Some of them made him hard, while others made him feel raw, exposed. Could he do this? Could he lay his soul open to a woman he’d just met?

Guest Blogger: La Isla del Encanto by Evelise Archer

Today it's my pleasure to have my fellow friend, critique partner and author, Evelise Archer swinging by.  And how cool is it that we both managed to have books coming out the same day?  *shakes head*  Unbelievable!  But either way with all the chaos going on around me with my own promotional whirl, I'm soooo happy to have Evelise stop by today. And pimp her new book. *leans in* And be sure to stop back on Sunday for my review of her yummy new book!  Take it away, sweetie...and don't mind the pouting muse in the corner.  She's ticked that she didn't get any chocolate at today's stop for my blog tour.  ((hugs))

First let me say thanks to Dakota for allowing me to pimp my new 1Night Stand, Tropical Paradise. And yes *looking around the room* Livvy too. Livvy, I come in peace, bearing dark chocolates, my sweet.

Well, let me tell you about Tropical Paradise, a story about La Isla del Encanto.

Hopefully the Spanish title grabbed your attention and now you’re asking, what the hell? My new release takes place in beautiful Puerto Rico, where the sun, sand, and the sea are in abundance. And all the hot men too.

Dakota, make sure that Livvy stays put and keeps her paws off my Latin hunks.

As a Latina, the island paradise is near and dear to my heart. Beautiful men and women grace the island’s beaches everyday soaking up the sun and looking for love. So, I decided, what better place than this scrumptious back drop for my 1Night Stand?

Writing Tropical Paradise was fun as I mapped the island in my mind, knowing that I had been there or could pinpoint any of the places. The drive from the airport in San Juan towards the coast, the sun shining brightly and the radio blaring. Every word written was a memory come to life and fueled my desire to tell Leo and Skyler’s story.

What you may find ironic is that out of everyone in my family, I am the least beachy-heat person. My family laughs as they ask, what kind of Puerto Rican are you, since you hate the heat and sand? What can I say- I may be Latina hot * put that in your pipe and smoke it Livvy* and have a Latin temper, but the heat is not my friend! I think is another life I was Eskimo and not Latina. Or better yet, I’m suited for a nudist colony.

I am my own oxymoron, but that’s what makes me unique and this Chica loves unique. I march to the beat of my own drum and make no apologies.

Writing Tropical Paradise was fun, and quite frankly if it’s not fun, then why do it?!

Dakota, and yes even you Livvy, thanks for having me on your blog.

If you want to find me, here’s my Links and stop by to say hi!

Retro Monday {1}: Blind Need

Over the weekend, I actually powered on my Kindle  Fire for the first time in nearly a year.  I know that seems sad, but honestly since I got my new smart phone I do 90% of my reading on it, instead of my bigger and heavier reader. It's smaller and is one less thing to cart around with me.  But as I was browsing through my library, I realized I had a ton of older books I hadn't read or only gotten part way through.  What? How did that happen?

But it got me to thinking about the older releases of some of my favorite authors. I actually sat down and reread one of the earlier books in Shelly Laurenston's Pride Series.  I'd forgotten how much I had enjoyed it.  It also made me wonder why some authors only seem to focus on newer releases (not that it's a bad thing - I love new releases as much as the next gal) but it's also fun to revisit old friends.   So this week I'm going to start featuring one of my older releases on Mondays.

For this first week, I'm going to feature, Blind Need, my first 1NS book from Decadent Publishing. Xaviera and Nate were both wounded souls that made me work for their story. I truly enjoyed revisiting them when I wrote Wyk's Surrender. So enjoy this excerpt from Blind Need.

Blurb:
Two wounded souls, one blind and the other scarred, are matched up by the famous Madame Evangeline—neither one expecting more than a brief meeting of two bodies in the dark for one night.

Xaviera Navarro had it all, a wonderful career ahead of her running her family’s wine business, a sexy fiancé, and her dream-wedding around the corner, but that all changed in the blink of an eye. A freak accident has left the Navarro wine heiress blind with no future other than the company of her seeing-eye dog, Lucy. After licking her wounds, she finally is tired of her own company and ventures out in hopes of finding a man who might be strong enough to stand beside her but not in front of her. If she can’t have that, she’ll settle for a night of hot loving before returning home.

Ignatius "Nate" Ramirez is not only a scarred fire-jumper with a justifiably bad attitude toward women, he’s also under strict orders by his Captain that if he doesn’t get laid on his vacation, he’s going to bench him. After finding out about 1Night Stand, he requests Madame Evangeline find him the perfect fantasy woman to have under the cover of darkness. Figuring he’ll have a better chance with his date with all the lights out, he wasn’t expecting a feisty, no punches pulled heiress to knock him off his feet.

A blind woman and a scarred fire-jumper should be a match made in heaven, but will Nate and Xaviera manage to leave their baggage at the door and find love all in one night.

Excerpt:

“Good to know. Now, shall we get to it? I haven’t felt a man’s touch in two years and I’m finding myself rather anxious.” Her plea became soft and coaxing. “Nor have I felt a lover’s skin under mine. The only question is, will you be the one to break my dry spell?”

“Fuck yeah.” All thoughts of going slow were consumed by the undisguised need in her words. Using the fact his vision was already used to the darkness, he pushed her back on the bed before covering her mouth with a needy kiss. Damp lips parted under the pressure before the moist tip of her tongue slipped past his teeth to duel with his. A low, satisfied grunt pushed out of his chest when her slender arms wrapped around his neck.

Using his strength to his advantage, he half dragged, half lifted her farther up on the bed. Under him, her peaked nipples budded through her dress to rub against the bare skin of his chest. He was grateful he’d shed most of his clothes before she’d arrived. When she was where he wanted, he sank down over her, his hips parting her thighs.

The cool cotton of her dress brushed his sides. Gathering a handful, he hauled it up, loving the feel of her skin against him. Mindless with desire, he rocked against the cradle of her thighs, wanting nothing more than to sink into the hot, wet depths pressing against his stomach. Son of a bitch she’s so wet I can feel it through her panties. Lifting his head, he drew a ragged breath, trying to slow down before he lost total control. “Damn, woman—you’re like fucking dynamite.”

Her fingers dug at his shoulders while she tried to pull him closer. “More! Don’t stop.”

Her desperate plea made his nuts tighten. “Not a prayer in hell. The hotel could be on fire and it wouldn’t stop me.” He reached out to trace a finger over the scalloped edge of her dress, teasing the rounded swells of her breasts. He couldn’t see them clearly, but he needed the offending cloth gone.

“How does this come off, sugar?” Not waiting for her to answer, he slid his hand under her, searching for buttons, a zipper, hell, anything that would tell him how to get the dress out of his way.

“Over my head.” She breathed the words into his ear. Her tongue darted inside before abandoning the interior to nip at the lobe. “Sit up for a second.”

He growled. The last thing he wanted to do was let go of the warm, sexy body under him. “Don’t wanna.” Licking her collarbone, he ground his erection against her mound.

“Only for a minute.” She whimpered when he captured the tight nub of her breast, cloth and all between his teeth. He’d never heard anything sexier in his life. The urge to get inside her—to ride her, had him in its grip. His aching cock didn’t care about slow and steady, it wanted fast and furious.

Her fingers dug into his hair when he switched breasts. Yanking one of the straps down far enough to loosen the top, he nosed aside the fabric as if in search of hidden treasure. Licking and nipping at every millimeter of skin he exposed, he grew close to finding it when she yanked hard on his hair. “Stop! Let me up, you teasing ass.” Her breathing sounded harsh to his ears.

His lust-dazed mind tried to make sense of her words.

“Now? You wanna stop, now?” He yanked hard on the reins of his control, not so far gone he’d force an unwilling woman. His daddy had beat it into his head. It didn’t matter if he had the head of his dick in a woman; if she said stop, you rolled off her and found the nearest body of cold water. No meant no. “Fuck!” Rolling away, he stood up, his body screaming in protest. The need that had been riding him earlier was minimal compared to the inferno inside him. Locking his hands behind his neck, he took deep breaths to calm himself while ignoring the rustling sounds behind him.

“Nate?” She touched his lower back.

He trembled as if a lash, rather than her soft hand, had touched him. His control was almost gone, making his tone gruff. “Yeah?”

“Get your ass back over here and finish what you started.” Her finger curled around one of the loops on his shorts. “And don’t forget the damned condoms because I’ll kill someone if you stop again.”
