Yep it's Black Friday and of course the madness at Wal-mart, Target and all the other super stores has begun. Am I there? Nope. Instead I'm sitting curled up in my recliner with my pooch at my feet...and yes she's actually curled around my feet on the foot rest - the pleasures of having a little dog. But she's an excellent foot warmer as I get ready to delve into a new book from my favorite series by Anitra Lynn McLeod. You couldn't pay me a million bucks to go out and brave the craziness which constitutes Black Friday - especially not when I could be home curled up with a hot cup of joe and a steamy book. But to tell you the truth after working several years in retail, I understand there are killer deals to be had, even though I avoid stores like the plague during the biggest shopping day of the year.
But even though I don't participate, tell me what your best or worst memory of Black Friday is and I'll give every person who comments a choice of free book off my backlist. Yep. Everyone is a winner. Just tell me your best or worse memory of Black Friday...what book you'd like from my back list and the email address to send it too and I'll email it to you. Also don't forget to stop by the rest of the peeps enjoying the Black Friday Book Bonanza. Just click on the link below.
I don't do black friday either i am perfectly happy writing. lol. hey i am waiting on the next wolfen prophecy book!!
ReplyDeleteEllie,
ReplyDeleteThe second book in the Wolfen Prophesies book is with the publisher, I'm just waiting on edits.

My best Black Friday memories are staying home and sleeping in. No one can convince me that the deals are worth the craziness. I'd love a copy of Conquering Jude. My email address is pechedete@yahoo.com. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOne year, my sisters and I decided to brave Black Friday and hit our local mall. We headed out about 4 am. By 7 am were exhausted and in need of nurshiment, so we went and had breakfast. We ended up spending 2 hours sitting there and talking. It was fantastic.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your generous participation in this fun hop :) My best memory is probable the first time I participated, which when my son was very young. I was able to fill the floor under the tree with treats for him for about twenty-five dollars. This year is the worst, I did not go - they started last night and that is just wrong LOL I would choose Her Wolfen Destiny, it sounds like loads of fun :)

hi! actually my worst black friday is going on right now. internet keeps dropping because of the traffic. frustrating. so many websites involved with the blog hop, only a day to do it. thank you for sharing! :D
ReplyDeletejukyjoauka(at)aol(dot)com
This year I didn't shop but had brunch and girl-gabbed with my best friend and it was one of the best days! My worst black friday experience was several years ago I went outlet shopping and was stuck in a car lineup to leave the parking lot for 2 & 1/2 hours...not more outlet shopping!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a copy of Her Wolfen Destiny...thank you for your generosity!
Are you reading Anitra's Harvester series? It's terrific, isn't it?
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!

I don't do Black Friday either!
ReplyDeleteWould love any book from your back list! The steamier, the better!

Today was my first black Friday and we went later in the afternoon after all the craziness and we only went to one store. So no crazy stories to tell.

I don't do the Black Friday shopping. Too much craziness for me! My mom always did but never let us kids go with her. That must be why I don't care for it! LOL!
ReplyDeletesuz2(at)cox(dot)net
I haven't ever gone blac Friday shopping, I hate crowds and all the craziness that goes with it.

Oh I also love Anitra's books! Ok, seriously I love all books! Ha! Let's see.....Black Friday memory....I have only one because I only ventured out once to attempt it. And actually my friend and my daughter and I had a blast! Although the crowds were crazy...we just avoided the worst places and yet still we got some great deals!! I think we got $300 worth of items for less than $100 at Bath & Body works and I was in heaven! LOL I hope you had a truly wonderful holiday time!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read Choosing Rena.
ReplyDeleteI don't do Black Friday -- the week before Thanksgiving usually marks the LAST time I deal with retail until after the New Year! I'm usually at home, curled up with a good book...
Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

The BEST way to spend Black Friday is sitting at home, hopping with old friends and making new ones. I can't handle the crowds anymore so I only do Black Friday shopping online if I do any. I tend to pick up gifts throughout the year so come November I'm finished. That way I can spread out the purchasing and not spend a fortune at the time of the year when my job is at its slowest and my paycheck is at its lowest. All I have to do now is remember where I hid all the stuff I got. :) Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

I don't do Black Friday, not since I worked at Walmart it curbed any urge to want to do it.

ReplyDeleteI`ll go with Wolfen Prophesies.
Thanks! :)
dita(dot)skarste(at)gmail(dot)com
We don't have Black Friday's over here, there is something similiar just as crazy. But I'd rather shop on less crowded days or online :)
ReplyDeleterosemchallen[at]gmail[dot]com
We don't have black friday sales where I'm from (Trinidad and Tobago) but we do have sales for christmas where people act really ridiculous I remember one year I went shopping with my mother and almost got into a fight with a woman since that I never shop that close to christmas, people act too crazy around that time.
ReplyDeleteMy choice is Choosing Rena and the email I want it sent to is taccb_1981@yahoo.com
Thanks for the cool giveaway Dakota!
It's been a long time since I went shopping on Black Friday. I enjoy being home with my children watching Christmas movies and playing games.

No Black Friday shopping for us, except a little bit on-line. The crowds would offset any savings in my mind ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd love Conquering Jude--I think I'm still missing that.
Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I went one time with my sister..omg..people are crazy, they were pushing, fighting, rude, standing in the cold, oh wow too much for me! I would love to read The Chocolate Made me do it! Happy Holidays and thank you!
ReplyDeleteallysonbrann06@yahoo.com
I NEVER shop on Black Friday!!! I usually shop online CyberMonday but I, suprisingly, found some GREAT deals online on Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful of you!
Can I have The chocolate made me do it?

ReplyDeleteThanks so much!

We usually stay home. But this year we went out to a movie and dinner with a friend. It was great.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in your Wolfen Prophecies Book 1.
It is really cool of you to be sharing your work.
nrlymrtl at gmail dot com
wow. thanks for this very generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI do not do black friday shopping at all. i stay locked up in my room all safe and sound. although, this year we were at my sister's house playing nerf- dart war. :) i am claustrophobic so i would not enjoy those crowds AT ALL. her wolfen destiny sounds really really good. :)
I think this year was the most disappointing shopping trip. I did manage to buy that half price 40 inch tv from walmart that I really wanted, and then I had to return it the next day because it was cracked and there is no such thing as an exchange or rain check for those items :(.
ReplyDeleteOh well, I am not the best online shopper, so I took a shot ;).
I would love to win Nisey's Awakening.
Thanks so much for having the giveaway!
