Six Sentence Sunday: Dec 11th

Once again thank you for stopping by for my Six Sentence Sunday.  You can find the rest of the contributors for this week here. This week once again are visiting Saving Micah. And we're up to chapter five folks. This is Mistress Brigit - the owner of the club Micah had been taken from talking to Caelan Doherty, our heroine's older brother.
"I understand your frustration, Caelan - it's no less than mine. Not only did Olivia entrust me with the safety of her sub, but he got hurt on my watch. Christ, he was here with the woman two nights ago and I did everything but thrust him into her arms.”
“Why the hell did you do that?”  She could hear through the phone his frustration and the metallic clink of with those infernal silver pendulum balls.
“If you'd quit playing with your balls and just listen to me I'd explain!"

  1. LOL what a classic last line. Love the humor here, in a subject where humor rarely exists. Great work!

  3. Great six, but I think there's a typo in this sentence: "She could hear through the phone his frustration and him metallic clink of with those infernal silver pendulum balls."

  4. Thanks for everyone that stopped by today and commented on my post. I'm happy that several of you found the humor in my post this week. I can agree that humor is not something that you might normally find in this particular genre but I feel that if we can't get a chuckle or two, we're taking ourselves entirely too seriously. I'm glad that most of you got the humor in the last line. And I have to thank JC. I've been over this mss so many times in the past several weeks (due to edits) I didn't even notice that there was a stray "him" instead of a "the". It's now fixed. :)

  9. Thanks everyone for stopping by. Sorry I've been incognito. Not only did I lose my net for several days, I also had to replace my computer too. (Talk about a couple expensive days.) But I'm glad that everyone has enjoyed Mistress Brigit's humor and I'll be posting six sentences from chapter six next week. :)
