Takeover Wednesday {12}: Tricia Andersen

Once again, my blog's about to be hijacked - this time by Tricia Andersen - contemporary erotic romance author. A former Secret Cravings author, this talented lady has over half a dozen titles under her belt.  The Black Irish series looks intriguing - and I'm off to do some 1-clicking.  Please welcome Tricia as she takes over A Little Bit of Naughty.

The floor is yours, sweetie!

Scrambling for a blog post topic at nearly midnight gave me an idea. Have you ever pictured your favorite author living their daily life? Do you see them like I do – sitting in a plush chair in their library/office, sipping tea as they scribble down their idea for their next great bestseller?

Well, as I’ve learned from author friends and my own life, it’s normally not the case. All our lives differ since we come from different backgrounds. For kicks and giggles, here’s a brief glimpse of mine. Warning…no two days are the same. *sigh*

Alarm goes off at six AM. Snooze. Snooze again. Snooze for the third time. Wonder sleepily if my husband will file for divorce if I snooze it one more time. Take the chance.

Finally climb out of bed, realizing that I set the alarm to get up early and write. I have a book that needed to be done a month ago. Deadlines really aren’t my friend. Shrug, realizing I’ll have other moments to write during the day. Dress and finish getting ready. Eye the coffee pot wondering if it would be wrong to just guzzle out of the carafe. Settle for filling a travel mug. Kiss my hubby goodbye as my sleepy daughter shuffles out of bed. Make her breakfast then I get ready for work. Head to the garage and stop to moan at the mountain of clean laundry sitting there waiting to be folded. Must fold laundry and write tonight. Jump into the car and head to take my daughter to school.

Spend the majority of the day at my job (only temporary, of course. When I sell the next hit book see above for my daily plans). Try to sneak a word or two on my manuscript using my handy dandy Word app. Plan to use lunch to get a few pages written. End up spending lunch running emergency errands. Download another reminder app on my phone. Solve a college age child’s emergency via text. As the work day ends realize I wrote exactly five words. *sigh* The weekend’s coming, right?

Pick up my daughter and go to the gym. We both take classes there. My gym family keeps me sane. They are the ones that stop me from flipping my lid and ax murdering all my characters…and a few real life people too.

Stop at the store and pick up something I forgot – again. Notice my toenails need cut. Add that to the to-do list. And maybe paint them blue. That’ll be nice.

Get home and start dinner for a now very loud preteen girl. Make lunches. Yawn. Make another pot of coffee (at nine PM). Eat supper then shuffle the kids through their baths. Get them to bed. Crash on the couch. Look at my feet. Nails will have to wait until tomorrow. So will the laundry. There has to be another place to start a pile. Open the computer to start where off on my next bestselling book.

Oooh!!! Facebook!!!

After a half hour (all right…hour) on Facebook, I finally settle down write. Yawn. Type. Yawn. Type. Realize the word I just typed isn’t even a word. Rub my eyes and try again. Tell they hubby “no I’m not sleeping. I’m wide awake.” Yawn. Type.

Wake up at three am to find the computer powered down and sitting on the coffee table. The day’s word count? Twenty five. Thirty if you count the ones I wrote in an alien language.

Get up off the couch and shuffle off to bed. Try again tomorrow.

And what will happen when Reese goes back to Vegas, leaving her alone in Braden without him?

Takeover Wednesday {5}: Siren Allen

This week I have the pleasure of having one of the wonderful ladies from Secret Cravings Publishing, hijacking my blog.  A warm welcome to Siren Allen as she joins us to give us the inside scoop on why she loves supernatural men.

Five reasons why I love my supernatural boyfriend w/ Ashley from Dark Fantasies

Hi ladies and gents, my name is Siren Allen. I write steamy paranormal romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. I could go on and on about why I love writing stories of demons and vampires. Instead, I’ve decided to let my main character, Ashley Blakely from my Paranormal Romance, Dark Fantasies, tell you why she loves dating a demon/vampire. Let me warn you, Ashley can be a little…. explicit. Say hello to Ashley Blakely…

**Ashley**

~Hi all, thanks for joining me today. I’m used to doing this type of stuff. See, I write an erotic column for my local newspaper called, Dear Dirty Diary. I’m used to all type of kinky stuff. But, what I wasn’t used to was supernatural stuff. I had no idea vampires or demons existed until I was kidnapped by my now boyfriend, Kelan. My bestie, Tinsley, thinks I’m insane for loving a man who could rip me in half with one swipe of his hand. Well, let me explain to you why I love my supernatural boyfriend.

First reason: he’s sexy as hell. He’s tall, I mean real tall. And he’s strong. He can pick me up and hold me against the wall with one hand while using the other to drive me mad.

That’s brings me to the second reason: The sex is explosive. When I say explosive, I mean really explosive. He makes my toes curl every time we… well, you know.

Third reason: I love the sounds he makes. Growls, groans, moans, everything. I also love the sounds his inner beast makes. Together they are one dynamic package.

Fourth reason: His vulnerability. Yeah, he’s all badass when he’s fighting creatures who try to steal me away from him. However, when we’re alone, I get to see another side of him. When he holds me, he’s gentle, silently fearing he’s going to do something to hurt me. It’s amazing how gentle my demon lover can be.

Fifth reason: The bond we have. Demons don’t get married, they mate. Mating is a stronger union than marriage. There is no out, there is no such thing as a divorce or break up. When you have a problem, you work through it, simple as that.

Yes, sometimes I want to punch him in the throat for being overbearing and too protective. However, most of the time, I just want to be in his arms. I know I’m safe when I’m with him. And at night, he touches me in ways that have me begging him not to stop.

If you haven’t tried a demon/vampire… you should. Just make sure you don’t touch mine. He’s already claimed. J

Christmas Fantasy – Bk 1 of the Fantasy Diary Series

One bite was all it took.

It’s that time of year again. Alyssa Blakely is busy writing in her fantasy diary, filling it with all her forbidden, sexual fantasies. The star: her very sexy boss, Devin Jordan. Too bad for her, he’s never given her a second glance.

Or so she thought…

After a steamy kiss under the mistletoe and a night of wild sex, Alyssa has the bite to prove just how wrong she was.

Devin Jordan has found his mate. The only problem: she’s human. He’s not. Can he prove to her that his inner beast can be both naughty and nice? Or will her fear of the unknown and a threat neither of them saw coming keep him from claiming her?

Dark Fantasies - Bk 2 of the Fantasy Diary Series

One kiss was all it took.

Between work, family and her ex-boyfriend, Ashley Blakely is completely stressed out. She doesn’t have time to write in her fantasy diary or compete in the annual ‘fantasy wish’ competition her and her sisters have going. The only thing she wants for Christmas is normalcy.

All hope of a normal Christmas… or life… fly out the window the moment she’s kissed by Kelan Grant. Now she’s swept up in a whirlwind of romance, seduction and danger. She wants no part of this new life. Yet once she finds out that her sisters and her best friend are in jeopardy, she will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Even allow herself to be kidnapped and handcuffed by a devil in disguise.

Dr. Kelan Grant always keeps his word. The moment he lays eyes on Ashley, he vows she will be his for eternity. He doesn’t care that his brother is mated to her sister and wants to keep their real heritage a secret from the Blakely family. Kelan will do whatever it takes to claim his bride.

Kidnapping her is the easy part. Winning her heart is going to take some strategic planning. But between the dark angels stalking him and Ashley’s constant need to break every item in his home, Kelan is having a hard time romancing the woman who he feels already belongs to him.

Will he get the eternity with Ashley he’s envisioned? Or will his enemies snatch her from his grasp and awaken the monster he tries to hide?
